Free Comic Book Day
Free Comic Book Day in Prescott is one of my favorite holidays!
We get some help from our resident expert, Ty Fitzmorris at The Peregrine Book Company in downtown Prescott, on some great comics to get you started that you may not have heard of before. Sandman is a critically acclaimed premiere comic book from Neil Gaiman and now it’s back with Sandman: Overture. Ty also recommends Saga – a Romeo and Juliet story with a Sci Fi setting with all the political intrigue you could ask for – I took Ty up on his recommendation and I can definitely tell you that I now love Saga!
Ty explains why Free Comic Book Day is so cool for 20- and 30-somethngs, in addition to the kids.
Hear about all that goes on at Free Comic Book Day (always the first Saturday in May every year nationally) with music, videos, costume contests, and artists and then head on down to the Peregrine Book Company to enjoy!
Enjoy the video below:
We also had the pleasure of joining everyone at Game On in Prescott Valley this year. Thanks to Dave Beaty and Al Sparrow for talking with us about their new series Red Skirts!
It’s no Jedi Mind Trick… that’s Darth Vader. Prescott Vader finds your lack of faith disturbing. Contact Anthony R. Dickinson at PrescottVader@Yahoo.com
