Phoenix Fan Fusion makes some difficult choices…

YOUR HOMETOWN GEEK WILL CONTINUE TO UPDATE THIS PAGE AS MORE INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE

Phoenix, AZ— June, 2020 — Considering the current degree of uncertainty regarding when large events will be able to resume and after consulting with the officials at the Phoenix Convention Center and the City of Phoenix, Square Egg Entertainment, parent company of Phoenix Fan Fusion, will not hold the rescheduled event in September. Phoenix Fan Fusion will resume next year and is currently scheduled May 28-30, 2021.

In an official statement to fans and the community, CEO Matthew Solberg says, “While we are as disappointed as we know you are, we feel this is the best option, as the safety and well-being of our attendees and participants is of utmost concern to us. We are a Phoenix-based, locally owned, small business and we understand that our success is because of you.  We continue to wish for the safety and health of all our Fan Fusion family and can’t wait to see you all again at our next convention.”

Current memberships will be transferred to the 2021 event and Square Egg Entertainment has offered additional options for those unable to attend. Vendors and sponsors will be contacted directly by Square Egg Entertainment staff to transfer booth space to 2021 or 2022. Parties with additional questions can contact Square Egg Entertainment directly at eva@square-egg.com. Additional information can be found here:

JULY 3, 2020 UPDATE

A quick THANK YOU to all of you who shared kind words and encouragement following our 2020 event cancellation announcement on Monday.  It means the world to us to know so many of you care about this event as much as we do and cannot wait to get together again, once it’s safe to do so.

2021 Passes On sale now!
Passes for our 2021 event are on sale now through our website:
https://memberships.phoenixfanfusion.com/e/Phoenix_Fan_Fusion_2020

A shout out to the few of you who asked about buying passes.  We’re a local, Phoenix based business, and your purchase is a vote of confidence in our convention and efforts.

We aim to keep the show affordable for 2021 and do not anticipate any price increase until right before the show.

Hotel Update and 2021 booking links
If you booked a room at the Hyatt for 2020 they will be batch cancelling the reservations.

Hotel reservations for 2021 will become available sometime in December or January, so for those who have already attempted to book your reservations (and we love you for trying so soon!), you have not yet missed out.  Once booking links are ready we’ll promote and send out the links.

Guest Announcements will begin ….
… at the end of January or February!   This is a similar time frame for when we typically announce guests as they confirm their availability with us.  As always, stay tuned!

Badge and Merchandise Art Contests
These contests are currently on hold and will be revisited in 2021.  Those who have already submitted art for the contests will be recognized for their contributions with more specific information forthcoming (i.e. this is one of the items on the “Our 2020 Event is Cancelled, What Comes Next?” list we’re working through).

3 Day vs 4 Day event
This is an issue of availability at the Convention Center.  All of the events scheduled from March through the fall at the Convention Center so far are being rescheduled into 2021 and 2022 utilizing dates that may normally be available to us.  We loved offering the preview night for many years but we would rather host a shorter show than not have one at all.

Happy July 4th!
We wish everyone a fun and safe Fourth of July!
